My Omarchy environment runs in the homelab and streams to the Mac through Sunshine and Moonlight. It gives me a Linux workspace on the computer I already use, with the compute living elsewhere in the house.
Why it exists
A Linux workspace that feels close at hand, without another computer on the desk. Omarchy brings its tiling desktop and keyboard-driven workflow to the setup.
From console to streaming
The project grew out of earlier Proxmox and JetKVM experiments. Sunshine hosts the desktop stream on the Linux side, while Moonlight is the client on the Mac. Tailscale provides the private network path.
In use
The streaming setup has launched. The focus now is living with the workspace and refining the picture, shortcuts, and desktop layout as needed.
